Hey thanks for stopping by. My name is John and i'm 29. I enjoy Sports, especially the Vikings and Twins. I got tickets to the last regular season game at the metrodome Not a big hockey or Basketball fan. All though the Xcel Energy Center is pretty awesome. I've been a couple great concerts there. Bruce Springsteen and Trans-Siberian Orchestra. Bruce Springsteen was three straight hours and amazing. I'm a big music fan, country is my favorite. Even though I haven't been to many concerts lately. Lynyrd Skynyrd was probably the last, and they were really good. I want to go to more concerts, more plays, and that kind of thing.

I enjoy playing games and good conversations with friends. Trivial Pursuit, Wii bowling, Poker, Hearts, Apples to Apples, and many others.

I like traveling, and hope to do more of it. I've been to Japan, Seattle, Vegas, Washington DC., New York, Tennessee and Southern California. Seattle was amazing. The scenery was so beautiful. New York sucked. It smelled. There was garbage piled up, and many food vendors and it just all mixed together. It wasn't pleasant.

My daughter is my whole world. I also like to watch tv, cook, drink wine, read, and go out to do just about anything.

I'm looking to find some new friends and if I happen to find more that's great. I'm a pretty even mix of a girly girl and a tomboy, meaning I love to dress up and get treated like a princess but I also love to sit and watch the game with the boys. I'm a bit of an adrenaline-junkie. I recently starting riding a motorcycle. Got my starter bike last summer and upgraded to a much bigger bike in September. I'm also a very open person and will usually answer any questions about myself that others have. I tend to be very easy going, sometimes to a fault. It takes a lot for something to get to me. I try to be in a good mood at all times because it seems like a waste of a day if you're crabby. As far as the kinda of guy I'm looking for, a down to earth guy that is deep down a country boy, willing to teach me more about camping, go white water rafting with me, horse back riding, willing to really get down and dirty, and go for an all day motorcycle ride (he better not be expecting to ride on the back of mine)I also want a guy that's able to go have a night out on the town, go and watch the game in person or at a sports bar or a night cuddled up on the couch watching a movie. Well, winter is in full swing now. I had a total blast during the fall and summer. I saw a lot of good shows downtown, I hit up Big Island a few times, and managed to get some fun camping in. After my last moved, I took a good look at my profile here to see what needed updating and what I could improve and realized something quite profound: I am exactly what I have presented here. Imagine a weird mix of Japanese culture and American Culture and you have a pretty good picture of what I am like. I lived in Japan as a child and more recently studied there. I speak Japanese with some level of fluency. I watch anime. I do play video games. I at one time did Japanese fencing, kendo, but had to stop as work is interfering with it. I write short stories, but haven't really been doing much after a major harddrive crash erased a lot of them. I roomed with some Japanese friends for a while, but they are in Japan again. They are friends that I made while I studied in Japan. I grew up in Montana and camped quite often in the summer and went hiking every chance I got. I would still like to do that.

Well I'm really only doing this for fun and shits and giggles. I'm currently working at a 8-4:30 (first clue) soul crushing, mind-numbing, any monkey provoked with a banana could do, Data entry company (no type writers though, so much for socially uplifting works of literature). A job that, ironically, only compels my desire for more extra-curricular socializing.

I was born and raised here in Minnesota, but that does not mean i like the cold! I only still live here because of friends and extreme fear (not really that extreme, more mild weariness) of finding something crawling in my shoes when i put them on (Kiss my white ass deserts).

As far as interests go, I'm your basic guy i suppose with a few exceptions. I'm really not that big a sports or car fan. I know, WTF right? I'll watch a game of Football or Hockey if there's nothing else to do, but it doesn't rule my life. The occasional movie, video game, TV show, that's my thing. In winter, i hear there have been rare sightings of me on a snowboard, but I'm more likely to be seen on a sled. I see myself as more of a social person. If propositioned for a drink, I'll be sitting impatiently in the car for you to get your damn shoes on.

Well, I've just re-read this profile and have realized that I rambled a lot, and think I might have come off slightly bitchy during my rant... I'll leave it, but put this warning first, Don't Judge a Book By It's Cover, and really don't judge me by the way you interpret my ramblings...

Well, I'm part Irish so I have the temper and the ability to hold my drinks, as well as having the red hair :) The temper usually fizzles out after a short bit, and I don't drink often, but when I do I don't use it as a way to get plastered, because that's just stupid.

I like going out and catching a movie, or going for a walk, or anything really. I'm not uber picky about where I go, because I more enjoy spending time with the other person instead of focusing on the WHERE we spend our time.

I love taking pictures, and really enjoy going places just to look around and see the sites. I adore animals and so going to the zoo is one of my favorite places to be, so that way I can take my pictures and see all the animals.

I'm generally a quiet and shy person until I get comfortable and know you better, and then I open up quite a bit. I do have a sense of sarcasm, and I wind up being sarcastic more often than serious. I love to joke around so long as no one gets hurt, and feel that a sense of humor is HUGE in any relationship.

I like talking on the phone, but need someone who will respond and talk back to me. I like asking questions and learning more about the other person, but still need them to ask me also. One-way conversations get really boring rather quickly, and I hate being bored.

I get frustrated with stupid people, or people who are just mean/cruel, and those that won't stand up for what they think/want. If you're here on Earth, you shouldn't just be pushed around, and you should go for what you want.. life is too short to just be pushed around, or to just be stupid ;).

I always add lots of those silly smiley faces to e-mails and notes that I write, and I'm not sure why... though maybe it's because reading sarcasm is a whole lot different than hearing it, and I don't want to be mis-understood.

Which reminds me, I also get really annoyed with people who e-mail or write notes in chat speak... come on, you're HOW old and you can't spell?? Seriously. I know I screw up a few words here and there, and everyone does typos but sending someone, who you want to be serious about a note saying "U R Hott" is just ridiculous. If you don't get my attention in a positive way with that first note, I probably won't respond.... and that goes for "Woo"s too. Yes, it's nice to hear that someone thinks I'm hot, but it's better to hear that someone actually read my profile and has something to SAY to me, other than taking the cheap way out and hoping I'll respond to a "Woo".

Anyways let's see about adding some of those bracket things... I love renfest, music, horseback riding, talking on the phone, reading, writing, drawing, Inuyasha, Family Guy, Simpsons, D&D (yeah I'm a geek.. sue me)..Applebee's, painting.... think that's good for now....

I "volunteer" with MetroSkywarn as a storm spotter and net control operator. I say volunteer because it's unpaid and you're pretty much on your own to buy any equipment you want. But let's face the facts, I'd be out there during the storms anyways and being a spotter is really just a way to share what I see and legitimize what's really a crazy behavior... :-)

I am getting better at sports I will watch them but I leave that up to the men I will make the snacks and ask who is winning. I hang with the ladies when it come down to sports. I like go on walks but are tied of doing that a lone. I love taking short trips. I love biking on the trails.

Now how do you summarize something so multifaceted as yourself? If I must pigeon-hole myself I guess I'll just give you the basics. I'm an animal lover (no, not the crazy lady down the street with 5 cats and 2 dogs!). I like to stay involved... in the community, work, friendships, everything. I'm a bit of a perfectionist. I try to stay optimistic. I love to joke around, but definitely am serious too. I'm willing to take what life throws at me but dream the American dream like everyone else (husband, 2.5 kids, dog, white picket fence). lol.

My Nature: The nature of my personality is that I like to share, whether it's emotional, material, physical, or spiritual. I'm an open book. I'm very gregarious. I'm very touchy-feely. Whatever our activities, I tend to think in terms of togetherness (assuming the activity isn't specifically for one partner or the other, e.g., in my case, mowing the yard (perhaps you might be gardening while I'm mowing?) or blowing snow) if possible. I guess I'm just not meant to be alone in this life. Finally, if you haven't guessed by now, I've a hopelessly romantic soul.

I was born at a very young age. Later, I became the Prince of a small kingdom known as Small Kingdom, only to be dethroned by my evil-twin's clone who is only half-evil, half-clone, and half-twin. On a more serious note, I'm really not sure what to put here. I suppose I could start with the fact that I strive to be an open person, but I'm only moderately good at it. If you ask a question, I will do my best to answer it. I will definitely try to make you laugh, because I love to laugh, and I laugh most when those around me are laughing. I would describe myself as a somewhat conflicted person. I have a strong sense of justice, which is often impeded by compassion. I believe firmly in truth, but I have a habit of playing devil's advocate. Honesty, humility, compassion, and conviction are probably the qualities I most seek in those around me, but I have been known to get along with people others find abrasive. I generally have a short fuse with pretentious, prideful, or snobby people. Sure, everyone's got something they're passionate about to the point of snobbery, but it's the looking down on other people I can't stand. It's just not necessary or helpful.

I'm one of those guys who, when he's walking around, looks like he's thinking about something but when you ask 'what are you thinking about?' he doesn't have anything to say. It's not because we aren't thinking about things, but giving you the whole back story of what we're thinking about would take way longer than the anecdote would be worth. For a while I thought it would be a great idea to unionize the homeless. Now I realize that they already have a union, and that theyâ??ve just always been on strike. Iâ??m re-writing this because my last one made me look like a douchebag. Maybe I should just have someone else write it. Someone who isnâ??t a douchebag. I just started a wonderful job a few weeks ago that pays decent and allows me to do nothing but count traffic the entire day. It is fun and relaxing and can sit in the car while I count. I usually have not listened to much music, but with this job, I been doing nothing but listening to music and find it quite relaxing.
I graduated December 16, 2008 with a degree in history. I plan on returning to school when I am ready to return and get either a degree in business, or further my degree and get a masters in history. I enjoy history, but in my heart and in my brain, I know I am meant for business.
