REDWOOD FALLS - Minnesota Valley Lutheran defeated Redwood Valley 70-66 Thursday in boys basketball play. MVL was led by Galen Holzhueter who scored 20 points. Nate Siemers had 14 points for the Chargers and Josh Hoffman scored 13 in the victory. Fred Evers added 12 points for MVL.

Chase Reid's 25 points sparked top-ranked Class AA Huron to a 66-55 non-conference boys basketball victory over Roosevelt on Tuesday night in Huron. Reid made five 3-pointers. Terrell Newton had 13 points and 10 assists for Huron (14-2), which never trailed. The Tigers are host to Brandon Valley on Thursday.
